Former Head of Engineering, Klarna (Buy Now, Pay Later)

Peter Bergenwald leads ROYC’s technology strategy and platform engineering, bringing more than 20 years of experience building large-scale financial infrastructure. Before joining ROYC, he spent six years in senior engineering leadership roles at Klarna, most recently as Engineering Director for CFO Domains, where he oversaw financial systems processing over 50 million events per day and drove AI adoption across engineering and QA.

Previously, Peter spent nearly eleven years at Nasdaq in key architectural and engineering leadership roles, delivering low-latency trading systems, clearing platforms, distributed cloud operations, and critical market-infrastructure transformations across the Nordics and Europe.
His deep expertise in scalable financial systems, payments, cloud architecture, and market infrastructure drives ROYC’s ability to deliver the most advanced private-markets operating system in the industry.
