Mathias Leijon brings more than two decades of leadership across investment banking and asset management. Before founding ROYC, he served as Global Head of Corporates, Institutions & Investment Banking at Nordea, overseeing EUR 1.7bn in annual income and a EUR 50bn lending portfolio. Prior to this, he was Global Co-Head of C&IB and previously CIO/Head of Fundamental Equities at Nordea Asset Management.
His earlier roles include investment leadership positions at Pictet Asset Management, Stena Long Term Equity, and Kepler Cheuvreux. Mathias brings deep expertise in private markets, institutional distribution, and long-term active ownership forming the foundation of ROYC’s mission to modernize private-markets infrastructure.
